August 17, 2011 |
It’s a known fact that the Android user base is increasing rapidly day by day. According to the Google, Inc. CEO Larry Page, it’s estimated that more than 150 million devices are powered with various versions of Android Operating Systems around the globe and around 550,000 Android devices are activated each day with nearly a network of 40 device manufacturers, 230 mobile network carriers in more than 123 nations giving enough boost to Android ecosystem to compete against other rival mobile platforms.
Initially, Google concentrated only on the development of smartphones, however, the latest trends in the tech world are the Tablet PC, in fact it can be considered as a Tablet PC era. But the main concern here is, whether all the tablets powered by Android are powerful enough to take on the Apple Inc’s iOS powered iPad. We can’t say 100% of them are, but most of them are powerful competitors both within as well as outside the platform. Though several tablets are in line for release this year, some of them can be shortlisted as Best Android Tablets of 2011. Below is the compilation list of three best Android Tablet PC, out of which some have already been released and some are yet to be released.
1. Asus Eee Pad
Though the exact release date of this device is yet to be announced, the Eee Pad has already been considered as a one of the best Android Tablets of 2011, since most of the functionalities are unique and initiated for the first time in a tablet PC, especially the slider feature that provides the users to use the QWERTY keyboard acting as a laptop and powerful NVIDIA Tegra 2 dual core processor combined with integrated SRS sound system for mobile entertainment capability.

2. Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1
Available in several versions, Samsung Galaxy Tab is the real iPad killer powered with Android Operating System. At first, the smaller version of the device was released with an OS that was not stable on a tablet PC, however, since the release of the tablet only OS Android HoneyComb, the Galaxy Tab is running on steroids and has received an overwhelming response from the customers worldwide. Recently, the device was banned in whole of Europe fighting a legal battle against Apple, but many are hoping to support the product due to the reliability and affordability when compared to Apple’s iPad. Wishing all the best for Samsung and hope to see the Galaxy Tab on shelves soon.

3. Motorola Xoom
Released in May 2011, Motorola Xoom hold the reputation of being the first Android powered tablet PC to run the HoneyComb 3.0 OS. At the time of release, it was the most powerful tablet ever built and still is up to some extent with dual-core T20 Tegra 2 processor, 1GB RAM and capable of withholding the expandable memory of up to 64 GB. 16M colors display with ULP GeForce GPU is one of the highlights of the device for entertainment lovers and dual camera on an Android device is a plus to bring this tablet to the top position.
There are many other devices which can be considered for the competition of Best Android Tablets of 2011, however, when compared to the high end features of the above three devices, they are the best in class to match the shoulders with the Android arch rival Apple iPad and have been inspired many back end and new manufacturers to produce top class mobile devices at an affordable cost. No matter what, the time has come for Apple to run for their money.
