Currently, GameSpot has customized and offering three tablet PCs, the Acer Iconia Tab A100 with a 7 inch display, Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 and Asus Eee Pad Transformer each with 10.1 inch screens priced at $329, $499 and $399 respectively. Each of these tablets are bundled with six titles, Cordy, Re-Load, Riptide GP, Dead Space, Sonic CD and Monster Madness are among them. Additionally, the retailer has included the Kongregate Arcade Android app, which they acquired last year to enhance the gaming experience, where the application provides access to more than 500 games to the users and allows them to compete against other users and share their view and reviews on their favourite games through this portal.
GameSpot has finally come up with an idea of providing a huge list of gaming titles to it’s consumers, where they will be saving a whole lot of money that they usually spend on gaming consoles. Though, iPad and Android Tablets are of different platforms, thanks to the games retailer for bringing these mobile devices added with great features. However Tony Bartel, President of GameSpot still believes that the game consoles will still remain the preferred choice of the core gamers, since they are specifically designed for gaming purpose and the Tablet PC developed for gaming purpose are modified to perform better than the original ones, they can’t meet the performance of the game consoles.
Thus, if people are looking for a multi-tasking device that helps in relaxing, yet assist in completing the profession tasks, then GameSpot altered Android Devices are the ones to choose. However, this isn’t surely recommended for those who wants to play a basic game like Angry Bird or similar ones, but worth every penny for regular gamers.
